Green Apples Day 6

I believe this is one of my favorites! It looks different from my other paintings because it is a collage rather than a palette knife painting.  But I had to paint to get here. I often mix my oil paints on gray palette paper. It works well and clean up is easy - you just throw it away.  But then I realized that the colors were so beautiful on the gray paper that I had to keep it.  Yes, the interminable pack rat. I knew I would use it one day. Each piece in this picture was cut out of the palette paper and Modge Podge was used to glue and seal them down. I love the effect and unique look for a bowl of apples.  Look for more of these to come!
